Meet the Heart Behind Lickity Split
At the core of Lickity Split is a father-daughter duo, blending generations of garden wisdom with a touch of creativity (and a fair bit of laughter).
Shayne, the green thumb of our duo, has spent his entire life in the garden industry. If you ask him, it’s the best industry there is—full of heart, hard work. Once upon a time, he dreamed of becoming a landscape artist, studying by night at Burnley Horticultural College while working as a rep by day. Though that path took a turn, he went on to lead Fiskars Australia for nearly 20 years, before starting his own business in 2017. That little business has since grown into Lickity Split.
Enter Alyce, Shayne’s daughter and partner in all things creative. With a background in teaching English and Philosophy to high school students, she’s no stranger to thinking deeply—whether about literature, big ideas, or the best way to put together a perfect pair of overalls. A passionate maker, Alyce has cycled through countless creative hobbies over the years, but nothing captured her heart quite like sewing and making her own clothes. This love of design naturally found its way into Lickity Split, where she helps shape the brand’s playful and practical workwear.
